The town of Yea is nestled in a beautiful valley at the meeting of the Goulburn and Yea Rivers.

Fertile farmlands produce an abundance of superb produce and cool-climate wine available direct from the farm gate or cellar.  Shops, cafes, country pubs and restaurants also offer you the opportunity to sample Yea’s wonderful offerings.

History buffs will appreciate the towns well preserved streetscapes and the heritage listed Yea Railway Station. Together with the Cheviot Tunnel, just east of Yea on the Great Victorian Rail Trail it is a timely reminder of the important role that rail played in early settlement.

Take a stroll in Melbourne’s closest classified wetlands and marvel at the unique fauna and flora.  Make sure you pop into the Y Water Discovery Centre and learn more about the wetlands.

Destinations near Yea include Trawool, Strath Creek + Flowerdale, Yarck and Alexandra.
