Check out Lakeside Campground at Lake Eildon National Park that is right on the water. Spend some time in the impressive Cathedral Ranges in one of the great little campsites tucked away, such as the Little River Campground.

Explore Mount Disappointment State Forest.  Straddling the Great Dividing Range and about an hour north of Melbourne there are lots of locations located in this expansive park. Look out for Regular Camp, Andersons Garden and No. 1 Camp. Check out the facilities for horse riders at No. 1 Camp Horseyards.

Pull up a caravan or pull out a tent in a designated campsite or a fully serviced caravan park along the Goulburn River. Try locations such as Horseshoe Lagoon and Arcadia Streamside Reserve and the extensive Shepparton Regional Park
